Annaliese Dempsey

Also known as “Dr. Shipwreck”, Annaliese is not only a cunning sailor, but an accomplished nautical archaeologist. She works and studies at Texas A&M University, where she is writing her dissertation on Blackbeard’s legendary ship The Queen Anne’s Revenge. More recently, Annaliese began a project to preserve the history and archaeology of Canaan Cemetery, one of Texas’s many freedom colonies. Annaliese currently lives on a tiny island with her wife, Rachel.
